Meet Vicki! The Owner and Founder of Massage Academy! 🫶

“I began my massage therapy journey in 1987, and from the very start I knew it was a true calling. Over the years, I’ve seen how massage can improve quality of life reducing stress, restoring balance, and supporting overall well-being. Founding the Massage Academy of the Poconos has been one of my greatest blessings, and I’ve been fortunate to work alongside an amazing staff of therapists who share the same passion for healing.

Through our Academy and Wellness center, I’ve had the joy of helping our community embrace massage therapy not just as a luxury, but as an important part of self-care.

🌟Meet Shanna🌟

Shanna is a Licensed Massage Therapist with 19 years of experience helping people heal, recover, and reconnect with their bodies. She specializes in deep tissue, trigger point therapy, medical massage, and prenatal massage, and has worked with a wide range of clients, from those managing chronic pain to expecting mothers, to athletes seeking faster recovery.

As a fitness enthusiast, she understands the demands training places on the body, and integrates that knowledge into her work to support muscle recovery, injury prevention, and overall performance. Massage is more than just a treatment, it’s a vital form of self care. Taking time to release tension, improve circulation, and restore balance isn’t a luxury, it’s an investment in your long term health and well being.

In addition to her clinical work, she also serves as Assistant Director at Massage Academy of the Poconos, where she enrolls and supports students as they prepare for successful careers in the field. Mentoring future therapists has deepened her commitment to both the practice and the profession of massage therapy.

🌟 Meet Alexandrea 🌟

Alexandrea began her wellness journey in 2010 with Skincare Training. As a Licensed Esthetician, she discovered her love for facials and for helping clients connect with and learn about their skin revealing their natural beauty. She became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2013. When she became a Massage Therapist, she was fascinated by the way the body holds tension a discovery that inspired her to explore deeper energy work. Her passion for energy work blossomed as she went on to become a Reiki Master, Sound Healing Therapist, Certified Yoga Teacher (200 RYT), and Life Coach.

With over 15 years of experience in the Wellness Industry, Alexandrea specializes in Relaxation Massage, Skincare, Facials, Reiki, Sound Healing, Meditation, and Coaching creating transformative experiences that nurture the skin, restore balance, and soothe the soul.

Since 2012, she has also served as Manager at Massage Academy of the Poconos, working both hands-on and behind the scenes.

She is the published author of three books: Find Your BeYOUtiful, Align to Love, and the children’s book Gracie the Gratitude Tree.

From a young age, Alexandrea felt called to be a healer. Her mission is to inspire others to embrace their authentic selves with love and acceptance, guiding them toward peace, alignment, and renewal in body, skin, mind, and spirit. 💕

🌟Meet Danielle🌟

Danielle began her journey with Massage Academy 11 years ago as a Receptionist. Inspired by the healing work she witnessed every day, she decided to further her education and enrolled in our Massage Therapy Program. For the past 10 years, she has been a Licensed Massage Therapist, helping clients relax, restore, and heal through her work.

Her passion for teaching led her to become a Massage Instructor here at Massage Academy, where she has been guiding and mentoring students for the past 7 years. She is also a manager here guiding staff behind the scenes!

Danielle specializes in Deep Tissue Massage, Gentle Touch Therapy, Oncology Massage and Spa Therapies, bringing both skill and compassion to every session.

🌟Meet Natasha🌟

Natasha is an Esthetician and Massage Therapist. She became a Licensed Esthetician in 2015. She has so much passion and knowledge for Esthetics that she went on to become an Esthetics instructor for Eastern Virginia Career College where she was able to share her knowledge with others and help them follow their dreams to become Estheticians as well. With her love for anatomy, she also teaches in the massage program here at Massage Academy. She opened a boutique Spa in Fredericksburg VA. In 2018 she decided to add Massage Therapy to her repertoire. Over the years she has taken many trainings and has become certified in many different modalities and is best known for Full Body Waxing, Body Treatments and Ashiatsu.

When she isn’t at MAP helping others to look and feel their best you can find her spending time with her family reading books, going to concerts, and rescuing wild animals.

🌟Meet Charlotte 🌟

Charlotte specializes in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone and other Spa Therapies. Her nurturing touch helps clients melt away stress while restoring balance to the body.

She is currently completing her Reiki Level II Certification, which will be finalized in Fall 2025. With this training, Charlotte plans to beautifully combine the relaxation of Swedish massage with the energy-healing power of Reiki — offering clients a truly holistic experience that soothes both body and spirit. 🌿💆‍♀️

🌟 Meet Natalie 🌟

Natalie graduated from the Massage Therapy Program here at MAP in August 2025 and is passionate about helping others through the power of touch. Her passion began as a child, massaging her mom who lived with chronic pain from fibromyalgia an experience that inspired her calling to support others on their healing journeys.

She offers a variety of modalities to support relaxation, healing, and overall well-being, including:

 Meet Maureen

Maureen brings over 19 years of experience in the medical field as a Surgical Technologist. After nearly two decades in traditional healthcare, she felt called to explore a more holistic approach to wellness and healing.

For the past 3+ years, Maureen has been a Receptionist at Massage Academy front desk, where she does scheduling, supports daily office operations, and ensures everything runs smoothly for both therapists and clients.

In January, she began her next chapter here as a student herself, training to become a Licensed Massage Therapist.

Maureen will be joining our Massage Therapist team in 2027!!
